Light Wood Floor Stain

If this method does not remove the stain lightly sand with fine sandpaper.
Light wood floor stain. Hardwood floor stains run a wide range from dark and light colors. Very dark almost black wood stains can completely transform naturally light white oak or beech so that it nearly looks like ebony. For floors finished with wax or penetrating stains very gently rub the water stain on the wood with 000 steel wool and wax. Light stains gives the room a nice warm airy and welcome look.
Floors made of maple birch and coniferous woods especially pine or fir are all very difficult to stain evenly. However dark floors need more maintenance since dust and scratches will show up easily. Clean the sanded area with 00 steel wool and mineral spirits or a wood floor cleaner. Darker floors evoke a more modern or elegant look on floors.
Make sure you know the effects of dark and light on your home. Dark stains hardwood gives the room a more formal and sophisticated look. Deep rich hardwoods such as walnut mahogany or brazilian cherry look attractive with no stain but if you need to hide defects the stain needs to be darker than the wood. Let the floor dry then stain wax and buff by hand.
In my opinion hardwood floor stain colors are at their most impressive when the result is a deep color that is a million miles away from the actual color of the wood. Before applying stain to your wood floor you need to know what species it is.
