Lincoln Town Car Water Leak Rear Floor

I had a 2001 towncar and water would collect in passenger rear floor after any significant rain.

It all depends on the shape of the floor pan. I sealed the grommet on outside bottom of rear floor then i taped all the door and body gaps and still had same problem. This ought to be a recall since so many of the lincoln s are experiencing the same proble i just watched a video showing how to seal the cowl to prevent this from happening but one would think that lincoln would have solved this problem long ago since. Once you find and stop the leak the padding under the carpet will have to be removed to dry.
